Proper Upbringing
A dog's life in human world is full of unnatural conditions: life in closed or fenced spaces, lack of plenty of sounds of nature, shapes, sights, occurrences... Since we placed them in apartments, houses, yards, simply put – we drew them from nature, we are obliged to get to know their needs and help them carry them through.
Nature arranged that canids which live in wilderness do not have behavioural problems. By domesticating them, we made the first step of removing a dog from nature and from its needs and primal way of life. Still, there is much to do which can simulate a life in wilderness.
Meeting dog's needs does not only mean giving them water and food, going out just to relieve themselves, playing with them and providing them with safe and warm place to sleep. Dogs live in a pack in which there is a clear hierarchy with a leader on top and clear rules within it. They migrate daily searching for prey. These are the dog's needs we must answer.
Connection between a dog and a human happens through walks and food; while discipline and showing affection shape it. These factors all together form – proper upbringing.
